Picking Up Where I Left Off

I feel like I need to restart a new blog since I haven't posted anything for so long. . or at least reintroduce myself.

The past few months have been busy, filled with Carly starting preschool, two events that I've worked on for Young Life, multiple doctor's appointments for Hannah and just life in general (i.e. meal-planning and preparation, playing, reading books, giving baths, driving. . .)

Even as I sit at the computer, I'm a bit overwhelmed trying to pick back up where I left off on this blog. I have some Carly-isms to share another day, but my brain is so tired right now, I'm doing great just to have my fingers on the right keys while I type (thank you, keyboarding 101 in high school).

SO--I'm going to utilize the wonderful meme--something I've seen on other blogs. I guess when I have too much in my head to put on paper/the computer, some prompting helps. . .

Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall? I used to be a spring/summer girl all the way, but just this year, fall is growing on me. I really miss the Midwest and the change of seasons that you get up there. I have realized I love the cooler weather setting in, football season beginning (go Huskers!--I will never give up on them), hot chocolate and apple cider season, all-things pumpkin (pie, muffins, bread, lattes), hay rides and pumpkin patch visits and time with family with upcoming holidays. Yes, I'm a fan of Fall.

Who is your favorite Disney princess? While I like them all (or maybe it's their pretty, frilly dresses I love), I'd have to say Cinderella. Love the story, love the happy ending (although that's a Disney theme, isn't it?)

What's the last book you read? The Fridy Night Knitting Club

What book are you reading right now? The Covenant by Beverly Lewis

Name one "presidential" memory (an election you remember as a child, voting for the first time, etc.) I remember watching a debate between Ronald Reagan and Walter Mondale and eating cheese popcorn. . .strange memory, yes, but one I have nonetheless.

What are 3 things that scare you/freak you out?

1. Tornadoes
2. Rodents, even pictures of them
3. Any invasive medical procedure that involves quite a bit of blood

If you were running for office, what would your campaign slogan be? I Don't Know. that would be the slogan, with maybe a tagline of Yes, I'm indecisive at times, but at least I admit it.

Who's your favorite football team(s)? the Huskers and the Colts

How are they doing this season? not so great and I don't know about the Colts

Do you have anything particular that you're looking forward to this Fall?
1. More time with family and friends
2. Hannah starting foods and sleeping through the night, because that means a full-night's sleep for me, too!
3. Decorating for the holidays

Are you craving anything right now?
a piece of pumpkin bread and a latte--both of which are not readily available to me right now

What's the last thing that really made you laugh out loud? skit at the Young Life banquet last night

That's it! I'll post more hopefully in less than two months this next time. Until then. . .
